Depending on your flight schedule, airport pick up and hotel check-in. We may have a short cozy welcome session to meet the crew and staff. In the hotel room, there will be a massage to help you relax from your long flight.
We’ve built in some downtime in the evening to help you adjust to the time difference (jet lag is real!). If you’re feeling up for it, let’s explore the area around the hotel for delicious authentic Chinese cuisine.
Morning:
Start your day with a delicious vegetarian breakfast at Hutong Cooks, a restaurant located in a traditional hutong courtyard. They offer a variety of flavorful dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.
Afternoon:
Embark on a Hutong Rickshaw Tour with a focus on vegetarian cuisine. Many hutongs have hidden vegetarian restaurants and street food stalls. Your guide will take you to some of the best spots, where you can sample a variety of dishes, such as dan dan noodles (made with a peanut sauce), spring rolls, and dumplings. In the afternoon, head to Lama Temple, a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist temple complex.
Evening:
Enjoy a traditional Tea Ceremony at Lao She Teahouse, a historic tea house located in a hutong. Here, you can learn about the art of tea brewing and sip on a variety of teas. In the evening, have a fine veggie dinner then head to Sanlitun, Beijing’s trendy nightlife district. Sanlitun has a variety of bars and clubs to choose from, many with rooftop terraces offering stunning views of the city.
Morning:
Take a day trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a well-preserved section of the Great Wall that is less crowded than other sections. You can hike to the top of the wall and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
Afternoon:
After returning from the Great Wall, have lunch at Vegetarian Lifestyle, a restaurant specializing in innovative and delicious vegetarian dishes. In the afternoon, visit the Bird’s Nest, and other architectural marvels for the Olympic games in Beijing.
Evening:
Enjoy a performance of the Beijing Opera, a unique art form that combines singing, acting, acrobatics, and music. Or Beijing Acrobat, depending on the performance schedule. You can also try some delicious vegetarian street food at Wangfujing Night Market, a lively market with a wide variety of food stalls.
Morning:
Visit the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of China for over 600 years. The Forbidden City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must-see for any visitor to Beijing.
Afternoon:
After the Forbidden City, have lunch at Surfing Buddha, a vegetarian restaurant located in a hutong with a beautiful courtyard. In the afternoon, explore Xiushui Street, the most famous shopping place in Beijing for shopping. Or, If you want to browse more ancient buildings, visit the Temple of Heaven, a beautiful temple complex where emperors used to pray for good harvests.
Evening:
Enjoy a relaxing evening at 什刹海 (Shichahai), a scenic area with lakes, bars, and restaurants. You can take a boat ride on the lake, have dinner at a restaurant with.
Morning:
Sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your departure time, you may have some time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
Afternoon:
Depending on your flight schedule, you can do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
